Many of our terms are defined on the documentation pages for those tabs (see list here), but here are a few terms that we tend to use without defining:

  • ILL:  Inter-library loan is a service whereby a patron of one library can borrow articles, books, DVDs, etc and/or receive photocopies or digital versions of documents that are owned by another library.
  • COUNTER:  : COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources) is an initiative formed by libraries and publishers to provide consistent, credible and comparable usage reporting so as to help libraries understand how the information accessed from a variety of vendors/publishers is being used.
